When it reflects badly on you

Have you ever had…one of those days?

You know, nothing seems to go right…more to the point, nothing is going the way you’d planned.

Someone butts in…you know they’re not in sync with your way of thinking…it all starts to go down hill…

Self-talk takes over…

…at which point, an endless diatribe of negative self-talk takes over in your head. If you could play it back to yourself, it would sound like you’d lost your mind.

You wouldn’t say it to anyone else…why would you say it to yourself?

Yes, you’re frustrated… you’ve worked hard…then at the last minute the whole process is derailed…

The thing you’re really miffed about is…it’s likely to reflect badly on you.

It was all under control…then doubt entered…now all you want to do is throw in the towel…your ego is hurting…

Life’s turning points…

I went through something like this a while ago…it ended up creating one of life’s turning points…the idea of change raised its head…I’d been there before.

I’ve survived many twists and turns…so why not look on the bright side…make a decision, take action…see what happens?

It would be easy to say fear was holding me back…it was more than that, it was about consequences…setting in motion something irreversible, imagining the worse...why do we do that?

When thinking becomes redundant…

The reality is…if you don’t like it, you can always change it…nothing is forever…

I always think too much before making decisions…carefully evaluating the pros and cons…at some point the thinking becomes redundant…action is what is required.

What if the unknown is where the joy is?

Before you have another one of those days…

Trust…it has its own rewards…
