What's on peoples minds these days?

There were three of them in particular...

Why was it these posts get a lot more likes/reads than any other...

Reading them again, I saw a common thread...it was also an indication of what’s going on in peoples minds…

The stats suggested two things to me: (a) people seem to be dissatisfied with how they make a living, and (b) they are concerned about their job prospects.

Whether post-graduate or mid-career...people are looking for a better way…which boils down to one thing really…money, wanting more of it.

Feeling the pinch?

We know jobs are being taken over by tech, and it’s likely to continue…it’s about being more efficienct…reducing operating costs.

Innovation is cool and exciting…but it’s worrying when it takes away our ability to support a family.

The nature of work is changing...

Perhaps we need to think differently about work…but it’s difficult to explore new possibilities when we're short on time...speed-reading, scrolling…when swiping left becomes the usual…

We each have our own unique experiences, but it’s just our experience…it’s amazing what you can find when you open up to someone else’s story.

Talk to people: ask them how they feel about the future…what kind of safety net they're building?

Wanting is one thing…

Someone has to go first...so reach out…do your due-diligence…question everything, don’t let anyone's opinion set you back.

Wanting is one thing, what you have to do to get it is another…what separates the two is action.

Decision-making is powerful…

You may make mistakes…but that’s not a bad thing…that’s when we learn what's important…it also means you’re taking action.

A wise friend once said to me: There’s only one way to make money…help someone else make money…the more they make, the more valuable you become…and the more you will make...

…and that’s at the heart of all jobs and business.

If you know someone with a strong sense of purpose who’s looking for a place to do their best work…I’d be happy to share my experience…ask me about my story.
